You start in Tokyo, undoubtedly one of Asia’s most exciting cities and finish up in Kyoto. Along the way you visit some incredible historical and cultural sites and really gain an appreciation of the history of this country.
Tokyo –Today you will be met off your flight at Narita Airport and transferred to your city hotel
Tokyo – City sightseeing tour includes: Tokyo Tower Observatory, Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Temple & Nakamise Shopping Arcade, a drive through Akihabara/Ueno.
Kamakura- Enoshima Depart Tokyo by coach and drive to Kamakura. Begin with a Matcha Green tea experience at Jomyo-ji Temple. Next a visit to Hokoku-ji temple which features beautiful bamboo grove. After a Buddist lunch, you travel to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Komachi-dori; one of the preeminent sightseeing spots in Kamakura.
Before heading back to Tokyo you will visit Enoshima a popular island getaway where you will take a Escar to the shine to enjoy beautiful ocean views. Overnight Tokyo

Mt Fuji,Hakone – You will be collected from your hotel and the first stop is at the Fuji Visitor Centre giving you a comprehensive overview of Mt Fuji, including its geographical features, distribution of plants and animals, the history and its 5 lakes. Enjoy a boat ride on Lake Ashi and take the ropeway up Mt Komagatake. Overnight Hakone
Hakone-Takayama –Board the Bullet train for your journey to Nagoya, followed by the JR train to Takayama, also known as Little Kyoto because of its preserved historical structures and environment. Time to wander through Kami Sannomachi Town which still retains much of its original atmosphere. Overnight Takayama
Takayama-Shirakawa-go-Kanazawa – Today visit the World Heritage Gokayama Ainokura Village where many of the structure were built 100 years ago. Next visit World Heritage Shirakawa-go where you enjoy a tour and time to walk around the village. Overnight Kanazawa
Kanazawa-Kyoto – First stop will be the Nagamachi Samurai District you will have time to soak in the atmosphere of the days of the samurai in this area. Before continuing onto one of Japans most beautiful landscaped gardens Kenrouku-en Gardens, following on to visit the Higashi Chaya district before boarding the express train to Kyoto.
Kyoto – A full day tour taking in sights including Nijo Castle, Golden Pavilion, Kyoto Imperial Palace. After lunch proceed to the Heian Jingu Shrine, then onto Sanjusangen-do Temple ending in the Kiyomizu-dera Temple with beautiful views over Kyoto. The historic shopping lane that leads to this temple adds to a wonderful experience.
Kyoto – Hiroshima-Kyoto -A morning train to Hiroshima, then a ferry to Miyajima Port to see the Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage Site best known for its Torii Gates which appear to float at full tide. Continue onto the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, followed by a visit to the Atomic Bomb dome before returning to Kyoto by train. Overnight Kyoto

1/ This is a locally guided tour with different local guides provided for you in each city. The tour operates on a modular basis and you may be travelling with different passengers each day.
2/ Your baggage will be transferred overland from Hakone to Kyoto on Day 7 and from Kyoto to Kansai airport on Day 14 and will be at your hotel when you arrive. A small overnight bag is required for these portions of the tour. An allowance of one piece of baggage per person is included. Additional pieces will incur a surcharge payable direct in Japan.
3/ Sightseeing tours, particularly in Tokyo will often disband at the completion of the tour or at a centrally located railway station where you are then free to explore further at your leisure, shop or return to the tour hotel. Your local guide will ensure that you have clear directions and are confident to make your own way back to the tour hotel.
