ITINERARY

• Day 1:

  Upon arrival in Beijing you will be met by a local English speaking guide and transferred to your hotel.

• Day 2:

  This morning a full day tour begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square followed by the Forbidden City, where the 24 emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties ruled for nearly 500 years.  It is the larges and best preserved cluster of ancient buildings in all of China.  Visit the Hutong area by old–fashioned rickshaw with a visit to a local home.

• Day 3 

  Today visit the Temple of Heaven, where past Chinese emperors would make sacrifices and pray for bountiful harvests followed by the Great Wall (Mutianyu section), a symbol of ancient Chinese civilization which has stood for more than 2000 years. A round trip cable car ride is also included.

• Day 4:

  Explore the Summer Palace this morning before transferring to the airport for a flight to Xian with a transfer to your hotel on arrival.

• Day 5:

  A full day tour includes the Terracotta Warriors which remain stunningly well preserved: a vigilant force standing guard over an ancietn imperial burial site. Today also include the Grand Mosque, a shadow puppet show in the Gao's Grand Courtyard and a dumpling dinner and Tang Dynasty Show tonight.

• Day 6:
Explore Xian’s ancient city walls and the Provincial History Museum before the flight back to Beijing. Arrangements end upon arrival in Beijing Airport.
