Tour from your Kuala Lumpur hotel to the lush Cameron Highlands located 1542 metres above sea level. Stop en-route for a visit to see the cottage industry followed by Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. Your afternoon is at leisure in the cool, crisp air of Cameron Highlands.
Set off to Penang. En route visit a royal town of Kuala Kangsar, the mesmerising Ubudiah Mosque, the Palace Iskandariah and Istana kenangan. Discover interesting handicrafts and embark on a river cruise. Lastly visit the Labu Sayong Centre where unique shaped pots are made, believed to have healing properties. Cross over to Penang better known as the “Pearl of the Orient”.
Today depart from the hotel for a City, Culture, and Heritage tour of Georgetown – officially declared as a UNESCO site. Return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, you may like to explore the nightlife along Batu Ferringhi, Penang style!
This morning, travel west to east overland across Peninsular Malaysia through the main mountain range, which offers breath taking views of the dense tropical rain forest whilst journeying through villages and plantations. Continue to Kota Bharu, Kelantan and check in upon arrival. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
We start the day with a visit to the famous and colourful wet market of Kota Bharu and the traditional cottage industries such as silver handicraft and songket weaving. Drive along the scenic coastline southward towards Kuala Terengganu.
After breakfast, head towards Kuantan. Stop in Kuala Terengganu to visit Pulau Duyong, famous for its traditional way of boat making. A must is the visit to the Islamic Civilization Park at the Waterfront Heritage City as well as the Grand Crystal Mosque. Continue onto a brassware-making centre and taste along the way “lemang” cooked rice with coconut milk. Head south towards Cherating in the district of Kuantan, stopping at a coastal fishing village and visit a turtle information centre. Before visiting the final stop at home grown Batik Gallery.
Overland to Kuala Lumpur, stops made at the quaint historic town of Sungai Lembing, a hanging bridge for a scenic view and Sungai Lembing Museum dedicated to the subterranean tin mine . Continue to experience the living museum on foot and visit the underground tunnel, once known as the El-Dorado of the East. Tour arrangements end in Kuala Lumpur.
