ITINERARY

• Day 1:

  On arrival in Beijing you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

• Day 2:

  Beijing -A full day tour begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square followed by the Forbidden City, where the 24 emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties ruled for nearly 500 years. Continue to the Summer Palace, the largest imperial garden in the world.

• Day 3 

  Beijing -Tour to the Great Wall (Badaling section), a symbol of ancient Chinese civilization which has stood for more than 2000 years. After lunch, visit the Ming Tombs and on arriving back in Beijing a photo-stop is made at the famous Bird Nest & Water Cube.

• Day 4:

  Beijing -Today visit the Temple of Heaven, where past Chinese emperors would make sacrifices and pray for bountiful harvests. Visit the Hutong area by rickshaw and explore the Yonghegong Temple before returning to your hotel.

• Day 5:

  Shanghai -Transfer to the railway station this morning for the high speed train (1^st class) to Shanghai. Transfer to your hotel on arrival.

• Day 6:

  Shanghai -Today tour to the classical Yu Gardens, built 400 years ago with architecture from both Ming and Qing Dynasties. Continue to the Shanghai Museum with its collections of bronze ware, porcelain, calligraphy, paintings and stone sculptures. Explore the colonial past at the Bund and the Jade Buddha Temple then continue to Xintiandi and Pudong New Development Zone. Tonight a Shanghai Acrobatic Show with dinner is included.

• Day 7:

  Shanghai -At leisure until a departure transfer to the airport for your onward arrangements.
