ITINERARY

• Day 1:

  On arrival in Beijing you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

• Day 2:

  Beijing  A  full day tour begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square followed by the Forbidden City, where the 24 emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties ruled for nearly 500 years. Continue to the Summer Palace, the largest imperial garden in the world.

• Day 3 

  Beijing  Tour to the Great Wall (Badaling section), a symbol of ancient Chinese civilization which has stood for more than 2000 years. After lunch explore the Yonghegong Temple and on arrival back in Beijing a photo-stop is made at the famous Bird Nest & Water Cube.

• Day 4:

  Beijing/Xian  Visit the Temple of Heaven, where past Chinese emperors would make sacrifices and pray for bountiful harvests before transferring to the airport for the flight to Xian.

• Day 5:

  Xian  A full day tour includes the Terracotta Warriors a vigilant force standing guard over an ancient imperial burial site. Today’s tour also includes the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and a Dumpling Dinner and Tang Dynasty Show tonight.

• Day 6:

  Xian-Shanghai Explore Xian’s ancient city walls before the flight to Shanghai. Rest of the day at leisure.

• Day 7:

  Shanghai  Today visit the classical Yu Gardens, built 400 years ago has architecture of both Ming and Qing Dynasties followed by the Jade Buddha Temple. Continue to the Shanghai Museum. Explore the colonial past at the Bund then continue to Xintiandi and Pudong New Development Zone.

• Day 8:

  Shanghai  At leisure until a departure transfer to the airport for your onward arrangements.
