ITINERARY

• Day 1:

  On arrival in Beijing you will be met by a local English speaking guide and transferred to your hotel.

• Day 2:

  Today we will visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Summer Palace.

• Day 3 

  This morning after breakfast travel to the Great Wall (Badaling section) The world renowned Great Wall, a symbol of ancient Chinese civilizations, has stood for more than 2000 years. With a visit to a Jade Stone factory and a photo stop at the Beijing Olympic Centre.

• Day 4:

  This morning start the day with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, the renowned imperial site where the ancient Chinese Emperors made sacrifices to Heaven for bountiful harvests. With a visit to the Hutong by traditional pedicab and home visit.

• Day 5:

  Morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Xi'an. On arrival visit the Shaanxi Provincial Museum housing precious art treasures, stone carvings and relics of the Han & Tang Dynasties. Afternoon visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda regarded as the landmark of Xian.

• Day 6:

  A full day tour to the 2000 year old UNESCO site of the Army of Qin Terracotta Warriors & Bronze Chariots which remains stunningly well preserved. Stopping at a Ceramics & Pottery Centre on our way back. Tonight enjoy a Dumpling Dinner & Tang Dynasty Show.

• Day 7:

  Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lhasa. Transfer to hotel on arrival with the rest of the day at leisure to adjust to the high altitude before dinner at your hotel.

• Day 8:

  A visit to the Potala Palace, a palace with the highest elevation in the world, built in the 7th century. Headquarters to the Dalai Lamas. Continuing on to the Jokhang Temple erected in the 7th century and is the oldest wooden and stone structure in Tibet.

• Day 9:

  Visit the Sera Monastery, 5km north of central Lhasa, one of the two largest monasteries of the Gelugpa branch of Tibetan Buddhism. Then continue to Norbulingka another UNESCO site followed by a visit to the Nun Monastery and a local Tibetan family.

• Day 10:

  Transfer to the airport this morning for your flight to Shanghai. Transfer to hotel on arrival with the rest of the day at leisure.

• Day 11:

  Full day tour starts with a visit to Old Downtown and the classical Yu Gardens. Later visiting Shanghai museum, the Bund and Xintiandi and Pudong area. Then in the evening enjoy an Acrobatic Show with dinner. 

• Day 12:

  A full day excursion to the water town of Suzhou situated on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and on the shores of Taihu Lake. A visit to the Garden of Master of Nets and Lingering Garden one of four most famous in China

• Day 13:

  Free day in Shanghai to explore on your own – or shop!

• Day 14:

  At leisure until a transfer to airport for your departure flight.
