ITINERARY

• Day 1:

  Arrival concierge orientation, and a introduction walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. Remainder of the day at leisure

• Day 2:

  Today's tour will show you the culture, history and influences of this 1,000 year old city. Included is lunch at KOTO in the afternoon your visit will include the fascinating Ethnology Museum which will give you an insight to the people you will meet in Hoa Binh.

• Day 3:

  This morning you depart for your two hour drive to Mai Chau, stops will be made to visit local villages of the Muong people. You have a choice of accommodation in a traditional stilt house in a village of the White Thai minority, or a rustic country lodge.

• Day 4:

  Greet the sunrise with an early breakfast, enjoy the beautiful valleys and peaceful scenery on the drive to Xa Linh - home to the Red Hmong and Blue H'mong minority people. Later in the day we make our way back to Hanoi, making stops on the way to take photographs.

• Day 5:

  Depart Hanoi and travel through rice fields and bustling towns on the ride to Halong. On arrival you will board your traditional style junk boat. This afternoon while lunch is being served you will cruise through the magnificent islands jutting from the sea. Time is made for stops to visit islands and caves, with optional kayaking available.

• Day 6:

  For early risers partake in a Tai Chi class on the sun deck. Buffet breakfast is served as you cruise past beautiful outcrops and rocky island on the return to the mainland. On arrival you are transferred back to Hanoi stopping at a local community pottery centre.

• Day 7:

  Tour ends on check out from your hotel.
