Join this tour over 9 days starting in undoubtedly one of the most exciting cities in Asia, Tokyo. You move across the Island via the spectacular Mt Fuji & Hakone before arriving in the imperial capital of Kyoto. Enjoy a day trip to Hiroshima, said to be the epitome of Japan.
Arrive Narita International Airport, Tokyo, where you will be met and transferred to your city hotel.
Tokyo -this morning you will be collected from your hotle for your Morning City tour of Tokyo. Highlights include Tokyo Tower Observatory, Imperial Palace Plaza, Sensoji Templea and Nakamise Shopping Streets one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan. End the tours with a drive through Ueno and Akihabara famous as the electronic district of Tokyo.
Tokyo – Kamakua-Enoshima-Tokyo Depart Tokyo by coach for Kamakura, begin the day with a Matcha Green Tea Experience at Jomyo-ji Temple followed by a visit to Hokoku-ji Temples with its beautiful bamboo grove. After a Buddhist lunch proceed to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Komachi-dori a famous street lined with shops, and souvenir vendors. Continue to the Great Buddha, before heading back to Tokyo and stopping at the popular island getaway of Enoshima where you will take a Escar to the shrine to enjoy beautiful ocean views.
Tokyo-Mt Fuji-Hakone –This morning you leave Tokyo behind and head for Japans tallest mountain, Mt Fuji. After lunch enjoy a boat ride on lake Ashi and the Mt Komagatake Ropeway – a cable card ride to view Mt Fuji in the distance. Overnight Hakone.
Hakone-Kyoto – Nara- Take the bullet train to Kyoto, your guide will meet you at the station and for a short walk to lunch. You will then coach to to Nara and visit Todaiji Temple one on Japans most famous and historically significant temple and landmark. Followed by a visit to the adjacent Nara Park popularly called ‘Deer Park, before proceeding to Kasuga Grand Shrine famous for its lanterns. Overnight Kyoto
Kyoto- Depating by Coach you will journey to Nijo Castle built in 1603. Followed by a visit to Kinkakuji Temple, a zen temple whose top tow floors are completely covered in gold leaf. Then your tour the impressive Kyoto Imperial Palace which used to be the residence of Japan’s Imperial Family until 1868. After a buffet lunch a visit to Heian Jingu Shrine Sanjusangendo Temple and lastly the Kiyomizudera Temple one of the most celebrated temple of Japan overlooking Kyoto.Overnight Kyoto
Kyoto-Hiroshima-Kyoto You will board the bullet train bound for Hiroshima. On arrival transfer down to Miyajima Island to view the giant Torii Gate which at high tide seems to float on top of the water, look at Itsukushima Shrine.You will have time to enjoy a lunch break before returning by boat and travelling to visit the Hiroshima Peach and Memorial Park & Museum, home to the A Bomb Dome. Returing by train to Kyoto.

1/ This is a locally guided tour with different local guides provided for you in each city. The tour operates on a modular basis and you may be travelling with different passengers each day.
2/ Trains in Japan do not have adequate space for luggage storage. Your baggage will be transferred overland from Tokyo to Kyoto on Day 3. One piece of standard size luggage per customer will be transported free of charge. Any additional item will incur a fee of JPY 2,200 per piece, which will need to be paid on the day of travel.
3/ Sightseeing tours, particularly in Tokyo will often disband at the completion of the tour or at a centrally located railway station where you are then free to explore further at your leisure, shop or return to the tour hotel. Your local guide will ensure that you have clear directions and are confident to make your own way back to the tour hotel
