ITINERARY

• Day 1:

  Arrival concierge orientation, and a introduction walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and the chance to learn how to cross the streets when so many bicycles and motor scooters are rushing past. Remainder of the day at leisure.

• Day 2:

  This mornings tour showcases the history and influences of this 1,000 year old city. The afternoon is free to explore Hanoi's Old Quarter also known as the '36 streets'.

• Day 3:

  This morning immerse yourself in ancient Vietnamese culture with an excursion to Duong Lam, one of the country's few remaining ancient villages situated northwest of Hanoi. If you prefer, we can organise this day tour to be done by bicycle - please advise at the time of booking.

• Day 4:

  Depart Hanoi this morning with your guide in a private car as you travel past rice fields and bustling towns to Halong Bay. On arrival board your traditional style junk boat for your overnight cruise. Stops are made to visit island and caves. Kayak (optional extra) or simply relax.

• Day 5:

  Partake in a Tai Chi class on the sun deck for the early risers. Breakfast is then served as you pass beautiful outcrops and rocky islands on the return to the mainland. On the return drive to Hanoi you will stop at a local village creating beautiful pottery.

• Day 6:

  Tour ends on check out from your hotel.
