Day 1 Yangon
Upon arrival at Yangon Airport you are met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the 2,500 year old Shwedagon Pagoda – the guardian temple of Yangon and the most sacred site for the people of Myanmar.

Day 2 Yangon
Explore downtown Yangon with a walking tour and take a ferry across the Yangon River to Dala. Later, visit Scott Market, where antiques, handicrafts and precious gems can be found.

Day 3 Yangon – Bagan
Today transfer to Yangon Airport for a flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, visit the Nyaung U Market and get a glimpse of local life. Visit key temples in the area and late afternoon watch the sunset over the famous Ayeyarwaddy River.

Day 4 Bagan
Board a private boat for an enjoyable 30-minute ride on the Ayeyarwaddy River to Kyun Thiri Village and learn about the daily lives of this unique island village. Return to Bagan for a village lacquerware demonstration, followed by a leisurely horse cart ride among the villages, temples and monasteries.

Day 5 Bagan – Mandalay
Today transfer to Bagan Airport for a flight to Mandalay. Visit a gold leaf hammering shop, the famous Mahamuni Buddha figure, Shenandaw Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda, ‘the world’s largest book’. The afternoon is spent exploring Mingun. End the day back in Mandalay with sunset panoramic views over the city skyline atop Mandalay Hill.

Day 6 Mandalay
Travel across the river to Sagaing, a former royal capital and now a centre of religious learning. Visit a nunnery to see the daily life of the women who take vows. Next, take a short boat ride to the Island of Inwa followed by horse carts to explore this former Burmese royal capital. Continue on to nearby U Bein Bridge, the longest teakwood structure in the world. Take a boat trip to enjoy a distinctive view as the sun sets over the ancient bridge.

Day 7 Mandalay – Siem Reap
Today transfer to Mandalay Airport for a flight to Siem Reap via Bangkok. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 8 Siem Reap
Today head out to Angkor Thom – see the amazing Bayon Temple, Baphuon, the royal enclosure and the Terraces of the Elephants and the Leper King. Continue on to the unique Ta Prohm Temple followed by Angkor Wat, easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. Tonight, enjoy a performance from Phare Cambodian Circus – unique, authentic and famous for their shows.

Day 9 Siem Reap
Travel to a local homestay and participate in a cooking class. Enjoy a guided trip to the market to learn about Cambodian vegetables, herbs, spices and their uses in Khmer cuisine followed by a lesson on how to prepare Cambodian dishes. Plant a tree in Preah Dak Village in an effort and show of support to reforestation in Cambodia before continuing on to visit Banteay Srei, displaying some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art.

Day 10 Siem Reap – Luang Prabang
Today transfer to Siem Reap Airport for a flight to Luang Prabang, where you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 11 Luang Prabang
Visit the morning market where you will be met by a local host in preparation for an upcoming cooking class. Select fresh ingredients before heading to the hosts house where you will participate in a hands-on lesson. The prepared food is shared and offered to the monks at a local temple for lunch. Enjoy a cycling tour around Luang Prabang in the afternoon before ending the day with a climb up Mt. Phousi offering sweeping views over the city.

Day 12 Luang Prabang
This morning enjoy a bamboo experience – learn about the myriad connections between bamboo and local life. In the afternoon, head to the famous Kuangsi Waterfall. Enroute back to Luang Prabang, visit the Ock Pop Tock weaving centre.

Day 13 Luang Prabang
Today, transfer to Luang Prabang Airport where tour arrangements end.
