Hoi An
With its pretty architecture and great mix of culture and natural beauty, Hoi An is a harbour town awash with a rich heritage. It is one of Vietnam’s greatest cultural relics and a melting pot of Chinese, Japanese and French influences.
So, allow us to enlighten you to the ways of the local farmers and fisherman – a personal experience that will stay with you forever. In the company of your guide, wind your way through emerald green paddy fields, plant local vegetables and explore coconut palmed waterways from a bamboo basket boat. You’ll have time to explore the incredible culture and must-see spots of this atmospheric old town, to see the UNESCO protected Japanese merchant houses, Chinese temples and old tea warehouses, not to mention its array of open-air craft shops, art galleries, museums, cafes and culinary corners. Oh, and you cannot help but notice the lack of motorised traffic in the town centre which has cemented Hoi An’s status as one of Vietnam’s most prized and pleasant towns. It’s especially romantic in the evening when paper lanterns light up the paved streets creating an atmosphere that’s purely magical. While in Hoi An let us take you on a culinary journey with one of our favourite cooking classes, embracing a combination of refreshing flavours and beautiful presentation. If you are like us and prefer to stay out of town, pristine white beaches lie just a short drive away.
