Itinerary


Day 1: Kanazawa (D)

Arrive in Kanazawa. This evening, receive a trip briefing and enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Kanazawa – Togi (B, L, D) Cycle 65km

Day 3: Togi – Wajima (B, L, D) Cycle 60km

Ride the Sekinohana coast to historical port city of Wajima and admire the stunning rock formations. This evening, stay at a traditional Minshuku where a hot spring awaits.

Day 4: Wajima – Noto (B, L, D) Cycle 80km

Today, wander through the Asa-Ichi morning market before starting the longest cycling day of the trip. Approach the tip of Noto and see the terraced rice fields of Senmaida and Old Tokukuni House, a former feudal lord’s house.

Day 5: Noto – Wakura (B, L, D) Cycle 70km

Today, cross over to Notojima Island. Spend the day riding around the island with a backdrop of snow-covered Japanese Alps. Later, relax in the baths at Wakura.

Day 6: Wakura – Takaoka (B, L, D) Cycle 75km

A day of scenic coastal rides turns inland to explore the well-preserved area with traditional structures dating back to the Meiji era.

Day 7: Takaoka – Shirakawago (B, L, D) Cycle 65km

Cycle along the Oyabe River to the base of the mountains and explore Zuisenji Temple, before heading into the mountains for a few good climbs. Spend the afternoon discovering Shirakawago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 8: Shirakawago – Takayama (B, L, D) Cycle 70km

Rise early for your last day. Cycle over two nice passes before arriving in Takayama. Spend the afternoon exploring the old city with narrow lanes lined with wooden buildings housing sake breweries and quaint boutiques.

Today, tour arrangements end upon check out of your hotel.
