Itinerary


Day 1: Yangon

Arrive in Yangon and transfer to your hotel. Sightseeing highlights for today include Shwedagon Pagoda, Chaukhtatkyi pagoda and the National Museum.

Day 2: Yangon – Bagan (B)
Transfer to Yangon Airport for a flight to Bagan where you will visit the key temples and pagodas of Bagan.

Day 3: Bagan (B)

After breakfast, visit more of Bagan’s impressive pagodas.

Day 4: Bagan – Mandalay (B)

Transfer to Bagan Airport for a flight to Mandalay. Take a short and pleasant ride upriver to Mingun, the site of what would have been the world’s largest zedi. Later, return to Mandalay for afternoon sightseeing.

Day 5: Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin (B)

Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, formerly known as Maymyo. Visit Purcell Tower, the botanical garden and Naung Kan Gyi Paya where you can see the panorama of the town.

Day 6: Pyin Oo Lwin – Hsipaw (B)

Transfer to Pyin Oo Lwin Railway Station for a train to Naung Paing followed by a drive to Hsipaw.

Day 7: Hsipaw (B)

Enjoy a boat ride up river followed by a walk to an old Shan monastery, passing via fruit plantations on the way.

Day 8: Hsipaw – Mandalay (B)

Today, drive back to Mandalay.

Day 9: Mandalay – Inle Lake (B)

Transfer to Mandalay Airport for a flight to Heho and a drive to Pindaya which is noted for its extensive limestone caves filled with Buddha images. Visit the caves before continuing on the drive to Inle Lake.

Day 10: Inle Lake (B)

Enjoy Inle Lake sightseeing with a boat ride to Indein and its enchanting 16th century pagodas.

Day 11: Inle Lake – Yangon (B)

Transfer to Heho Airport for a flight to Yangon. In Yangon, continue with sightseeing followed by a short visit to Chinatown and a visit to Bogyoke Market, also referred to as Scott Market.

Day 12: Yangon (B)

Today, transfer to Yangon Airport where tour arrangements end.
