Itinerary


Day 1: Beijing

Arrive in Beijing where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Beijing (B, L)
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing – visit Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and the Summer Palace.

Day 3: Beijing (B, L)

Today, visit the Great Wall of China (Badaling section) and the Ming Dynasty’s Imperial Tomb. If time permits visit a Jade Stone Carving Factory and make a photo stop at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Centre – the Birds Nest and Water Cube.

Day 4: Beijing (B, L)

Visit the Temple of Heaven, a renowned imperial site where the ancient Chinese emperors made sacrifices to heaven for bountiful harvests. After lunch, enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through the ancient Hutongs (alleyways).

Day 5: Beijing - Xian (B, L)

Transfer to Bejiing Airport for a flight to Xian. On arrival visit the Shaanxi Provincial Museum followed by an afternoon visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Day 6: Xian (B, L, D)

Visit the 2,000 year old UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Army of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Bronze Chariots which remains stunningly well preserved. Tonight, enjoy a different taste of China with a dumpling dinner and colourful Tang Dynasty Show.

Day 7: Xian - Shanghai (B)

Transfer to Xian Airport for a flight to Shanghai, where the rest of the day is spent at leisure.

Day 8: Shanghai (B, L)

Visit the classical Yu Gardens, the Shanghai Museum, followed by the Bund and Xintiandi Street, a contemporary boutique area.

Day 9: Shanghai (B, L)

An excursion to Suzhou is today’s highlight. This 2,500 year-old city is well known for its traditional gardens, ancient canals and silk production.

Day 10: Shanghai (B)

Today, transfer to Shanghai Airport where tour arrangements end.
