Begin with a ride out to the Thien Mu Pagoda, built more than 500 years ago. Returning to Hue you will visit the Citadel – this impressive edifice has a 10,000m circumference and is made up of three ramparts. Following an exploration of the Citadel, the next stop is the tombs of the Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Emperor Tu Duc ordered his tomb to be built as a fairyland full of poetic features, whilst Khai Dinh’s tomb is a mixture of Western and Asian architecture. Note: Approx. 20km cycle.
