Itinerary


Day 1: Yangon

Arrive in Yangon and transfer to your hotel. Later, enjoy a city tour including the colourful downtown, Chaukhtatkyi, and the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most impressive golden stupas.

Day 2: Yangon – Kyaikhitiyo (B)
Explore the highlights of Bago, one of the richest archaeological sites in Myanmar. Continue on to The Golden Rock, or Kyaiktiyo as the Burmese call it, a fascinating sacred boulder covered in gold leaf and balanced precariously on the edge of a cliff.

Day 3: Kyaikhitiyo – Hpa-An (B)
Wake early for lovely sunrise views. After which, drive on to quaint Hpa-An. En-route visit Bayint Nyi Cave, the picturesque Kyauk Kalat, Lumbini Garden and Kawgun Cave.

Day 4: Hpa-An (B)

Today, stroll through the central market to get a feel of Hpa-An’s daily life. Visit the Kayin Cultural Museum which exhibits the cultural heritage of the Karen (Kayin)

Day 5: Hpa-An – Mawlamyine (B)

Depart towards Mawlamyine. The first few stops will be at Kadow village to visit the U Nar Auk Monastery and the shrines at Kawhnat-Kadow village. Upon arrival in Mawlamyine, visit the Kyaikthanlan Pagoda on the ridge of a hill, overlooking the town and offering a great view.

Day 6: Bilu Islands (B)

Take a glimpse into Myanmar’s authentic rural life by catching a ferry to Bilu Island, largely untouched by development. Pass through idyllic rice paddy fields, rustic villages, cottage industry workshops and palm lined roads. In the afternoon, return to Mawlamyine and enjoy a trishaw ride to visit the town’s highlights

Day 7: Mawlamyine – Yangon (B)

Today, embark on a full day of travel back to Yangon.

Day 8: Yangon (B)

Today, transfer to Yangon Airport where tour arrangements end.
