Visit the notorious Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.
In 1975 Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pot’s security forces and turned into a prison known as Security Prison 21 (S-21). An estimated 17,000 people were imprisoned and tortured. Walk through this ‘high school’ museum with exhibits showcasing this former Khmer Rouge regime. Continue on to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a sober reminder of a country torn apart by war. Note: Some exhibits are graphic and may cause distress to some people.
