This 7 day self-guided tour including accommodation in Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto, a railpass and two half day tours. Start in Tokyo with a three night stay allowing lots of time for your own exploration. Take the bullet train to Hakone, enjoy an overnight in a ryokan and use the local transport pass to scenic valleys affording spectacular views of Mt Fuji. Spend the last two days in Kyoto wandering historic alleyways after a half day tour to the castle and ancient shrines. Travel back to Tokyo or on to Osaka for your departure.
