Itinerary


Day 1: Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi. An English speaking local guide will you meet you at your hotel for a Hanoi orientation.

Day 2: Hanoi (B, L)

Today’s highlights include the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and the 6th century Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda. In the afternoon, visit either the Ethnology Museum or the Vietnam Women’s Museum. End your day with a walking tour through the Old Quarter, followed by a Water Puppet Show.

Day 3: Hanoi - Mai Chau (B, L, D)

Journey to the mountainous countryside area of Mai Chau and take advantage of the fantastic photo opportunities. Enjoy lunch at a local village and experience the lifestyle of the ethnic hill-tribes in the villages. This evening choose to stay in either a traditional stilt-house in a village of the White Thai minority, or a rustic country lodge.

Day 4: Mai Chau - Hanoi (B, L)

Rise early and transfer to the village of Xa Linh, enjoying the beautiful valleys and peaceful scenery on the drive. After lunch return to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L,D)

Drive to Halong Bay where you will board a traditional style junk boat. Visit islands and caves, kayak (optional extra) or swim in the emerald sea.

Day 6: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B)

Pass by beautiful outcrops and rocky islands as you cruise to port. On the return drive to Hanoi, visit a local pottery village.

Day 7: Hanoi (B)

Tour arrangements end upon check out from your hotel.
